The first two cities in this app are Kathmandu and Venice. It not just enables you to see the destinations firsthand and personally, but also allows you to learn and explore all the landmarks of the destination by way of an immersive sound and sight experience. This way, you get to see these cities in an entirely distinct light and also learn quite a lot about them through the process. Another addition to witnessing these mesmerizing sights is also pairing them with the latest travel trends and tips that help you figure out whether or not you have landed on the ideal travel destination confidently.
How Does It Work?
The first thing you will require is a Google Daydream headset. Thereafter, you need to download the app of KAYAK VR to your Daydream. Once inside the app, select the virtual destination that you wish to explore. You can easily use your trackpad in order to navigate the city. The audio narrator of KAYAK VR notifies you on dozens of hotels and landmarks. Or you can also choose to just immerse yourself thoroughly in the sounds and sights of the destination with a realistic stereophonic sound. This sound adapts to the position of your head. You can experience those scenes in 360° so that you can explore the terrain completely before booking a flight.
However, note that KAYAK VR is simply a research tool that enables you to experience a city for size before your actual travel. Nothing can beat the feeling of landing in a new place and experiencing it firsthand!
