Vodafone Launches New IoT Wearable for Kids

“V-Kids Watch by Vodafone” is a smartwatch for children that allow parents to track their kids when they go to places alone.

Vodafone has launched two IoT wearable products namely a watch and a band. This is an extension of the range of consumer services and goods that are launched by Vodafone. Both the products have a SIM card that is embedded in the V-SOS Band. It is a step towards “enabling parents to stay in contact with their child when they start to give them more independence.”

One of the most exciting features of this “V-Kids Watch by Vodafone” is a 450mAh battery that can provide power for as many three days. It also includes the functions of messaging, gaming, location and of course, the SOS feature.

This smartwatch for children is connected through the mobile network of Vodafone and allows parents to track their kids when they go to places alone. It is a multi-functional smartwatch that offers a range of other services like adding “safe zones” in the saved locations such as the school complex, the neighborhood areas, and others. In the words of Serpil Timuray, the Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer of the Vodafone Group, “Our growing range of V by Vodafone products and services are enabling our customers to stay connected to everyone and everything that matters to them anytime and anywhere.”

This “V-Kids Watch by Vodafone” serves all the purposes of a smartphone and is also safe for use by the kids who are in primary school.

Vodafone has surprised its customers by launching several products within the range of the Internet of Things (IoT). This V by Vodafone range has come up with popular products like V-Pet to help you track your pets, V-Bag for tracking your luggage, etc.

These products launched under the IoT range are definitely bringing a revolution and making our daily lives much easier.
