The next big product of Apple – the all-new Apple’s AR Glasses are in the limelight now. Apple is now readying its proprietary version of smart glasses in the form of Apple Glasses. Apple has always been quite clear-sighted where its AR aspirations are concerned. In fact, the multinational conglomerate introduces new and improved AR tools on its iOS platform each year.

Since Apple declined to share details or comment regarding this new development and introduction in the field of AR, imaginations are running rife, and people are guessing the various features that these smart glasses from Apple are likely to come with.

For instance, it is predicted that much like the Apple Watch, the Apple Glasses will also not boast of any features that you cannot already enjoy in the smart glasses of other technological giants. Hence, if you are quite familiar with the landscape of augmented reality, there might not be many surprises for you on that front.

A leak suggests that Apple Glasses might be sold at the price tag of $499 and extra for prescription add-ons. The iPhone is, needless to say, the star product of Apple. It comes packed with advanced chips, capable of performing countless computer vision and AR computations. Therefore, it can easily power an AR headset, and only bigger and better things are expected in its future.

Reports suggest that Apple might introduce QR codes in its upcoming AR app of iOS 14. It is expected to launch a myriad of 3D experiences while scanning a QR code at a specific physical location. The brand-new Apple Glasses will, therefore, scan this code and then use it to offer quick AR experiences to users. It is also predicted that all Apple products might be used in tandem with each other, and users might be able to link them so that all their Apple devices may recognize each other.

Talking about the specifications of this upcoming product, it is expected that Apple Glasses will have a stereoscopic AR headset with dual displays and will process data with the help of iPhones. Leaks also suggest that the frames of these glasses might be made of metal, and they will have an integrated LiDAR sensor for scanning proprietary QR codes as well as gesture recognition. This sensor is expected to be placed at the temple of the glasses to serve their purpose. These new smart glasses from Apple might also have the capabilities of object tracking and 6DOF head-tracking using computer vision.

These smart glasses were expected to be launched at Apple’s Q1 2021 or Q4 2020 event sometime this year. However, its debut might be pushed to October 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic. This way, the company will be able to ensure a patented large-format deluge of all its product announcements.

Apple’s other wearable devices, such as AirPods and Apple Watch, are expected to be excellent accompaniments to the upcoming Apple Glasses. That said, the proof, as always, is in the pie.
