Facebook, the company that always stays in the limelight due to its new innovative ideas and solutions is now making headlines with its Augmented Reality (AR) Tool. The tool is mainly developed to help small and large businesses to reach out to approx. 1.3 billion people who use Facebook messenger every month.

This Augmented Reality (AR) Tool launched by Facebook will now help the businesses to use the “Camera Effect Platform” to incorporate Augmented Reality into their messenger experience. This is considered as the major step that will bring the physical and virtual world a lot closer.

“When a person interacts with your business in Messenger, you can prompt them to open the camera, which will be pre-populated with filters and AR effects that are specific to your brand,” David Marcus, Vice President of Messaging Products, said in a blog post on Tuesday.

This will allow users to share the images as well as the videos in a group, or in a one-to-one conversation as well as in their story. Users can also simply save the story in their respective phone camera roll.

As per the vice president of messaging products, David Marcus, to this date, there are around 30,000 active bots and more than 8 billion messages get exchanged between businesses and people every month on messenger.

It is exactly four times the messages that got exchanged on the messenger since last year. Marcus revealed this data in the Facebook’s annual two-day F8 Developers conference on Tuesday in San Jose.

According to the post, there are nearly 20,000 developers working on building experiences and on forging connection among the people and their favorite brands to bring real value to their regular lives.

Brands like Nike, Sephora, ASUS, and Kia, will soon launch AR effects for their amazing messenger experiences. To establish a communication between buyers and sellers in the Marketplace, Facebook has also launched “M-Translations”. This will help users to establish communication in different languages.

Now when a user, who is connected at this marketplace, will get a message which is in a language different from his set default language, M will ask them if they want to translate the message. This is when M-translation plays its part. It will translate the message into the default language of the user to establish a connection between them despite their language differences and countries.

At the time of launch, translations like English to Spanish and Spanish to English will be available in this marketplace conversation which will take place in the US. In coming months, Facebook will gradually add more languages and countries to the “M suggestion for translation”.

This is undoubtedly a major step taken by Facebook to help Small and large businesses to come closer to their potential customer. This Augmented Reality tool unveiled by Facebook is considered as the solution to forging communication between the buyers and the sellers as well as to connect the physical and the virtual world.
