Vivo has been working hand in hand with TouchPal for a little while to bring animated emoji especially for the Vivo users and use the technology like Artificial Intelligence to make their devices much more advanced. We have seen these animated emojis’ in iPhone X last year and later Samsung launched their own AR Emoji. The animated emoji launched by Vivo and TouchPal is called the Funmoji and will make texting much more fun for the users.

Vivo had come up with TouchPal to bring in new innovation to their devices in the area of Artificial Intelligence. In a press conference held in Thailand during the launch of Vivo V9, the project manager displayed how the Funmoji will be used in the device.

He explained that the feature works with the help of the facial recognition done by the front camera and the voice recognition system. It notes down the facial features and the voice and eventually converts it as the expression of the emoji.

The emoji can be directly accessed through the keyboard on the phone and the user can record 10-second-long 3D animated clips and send it across through various Android applications such as WhatsApp, we chat, Facebook, Line and much more. The user can click at the top left part of the keyboard and select the suitable emoji from the choice of four and record a 10-second-long animated video and hit send. It is easy and interesting.

The fact that the Funmoji feature is available on the keyboard and is accessible easily during conversations makes it more comfortable to use than the Samsung and Apple animated emoji. With TouchPal and Vivo coming together and using AI to make the lives of their users much more easier, it is not wrong to say that we will be witnessing a lot more of this technology in the years to come.
