Samsung clearly does not want it’s biggest rival to lead the emoji game, thus launched the competitor for the Apple’s Animoji and named it AR Emoji. Not long ago did Apple came up with their Animoji application with the iPhone X and people went crazy to try that out. Samsung Galaxy S9’s AR Emoji is just similar to that, but with a better UI.

Currently being launched on the all-new Samsung’s flagship smartphone the Galaxy S9, the AR Emoji will soon be made available for more devices. Like the iPhone X, the Galaxy S9 makes the use of its state-of-the-art face scanning technology that mimics the user’s facial expressions and smartly converts it into an animated emoji.

With the addition of AR Emoji, people can now try out some crazier stuff such as sending a weird animated message to their friends, sing funny cartoony karaoke and lots of other insane things that will either make them look cooler or idiotic, depends!

The Samsung’s AR Emoji is simple to use, and you just have to click a regular picture of yourself, smiling without showing your teeth and everything else will be done by the app itself. Once the image is captured, you will be able to customize your hairstyle, clothes, glasses and turn it into an animated movie with weird random motions along with the background of your choice.

As Google has integrated such AR Stickers feature in their very own camera application on the pixel devices, in much the same way Samsung incorporated their AR Emoji right into their main camera application. This enables faster and convenient way to share messages instantly anywhere, similar to any other thing that you do in the camera app.

Meanwhile, where Samsung has provided the universal sharing capability to its user, the Apple’s Animoji is much of an Apple thing. The Animoji users are locked to iPhone’s message app and have to export the animation from the messaging app every time, whenever you want to share it at other places. This restriction and time-consuming procedure make the Animoji a less convenient as compared to the AR Emoji by Samsung.

AR Emoji is definitely a game changer move for Samsung, though Apple’s Animoji being a little more refined at the same time is extremely limited. With Samsung’s AR Emoji you can have limitless fun and share the animations right from your camera app in just a few seconds. It still has to be decided whether Samsung or Apple will lead the Augmented Reality Game!
