Samsung’s Galaxy Note Now Enhanced With AR Apps And Depth Camera

Samsung has added a new dimension of sophistication and cutting-edge technology to its Galaxy S10 4G smartphone. In a bid to integrate augmented reality into its smartphone, Samsung has now added a depth-sensing camera for 3D scanning as well as several AR apps to its all-new Galaxy Note 10+.

The South Korean multinational conglomerate also launched the two phones, Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ recently with several new features. Note 10 comes with three rear-facing cameras (12MP telephoto, 12MP wide-angle and 16MP ultra-wide) while the Note 10+ comes with a fourth camera. This added camera is for depth-sensing and 3D scanning. It is known as a DepthVision Camera that comes with VGA sensors. Thanks to this addition, the Note 10+ comes packed with a number of augmented reality capabilities. In addition to 3D scanning using the smart device, users can also capture an object in 3D and then transform it into a GIF.

According to a statement released by DJ Koh, the CEO of Samsung, “From the very beginning, the Galaxy Note has stood for the best-of-the-best technologies and features. The Galaxy Note10 re-imagines this promise for the modern Note fan who uses their smartphone to take their productivity and creativity to the next level, and who effortlessly flows between ideas and endeavors at a moment’s notice.”

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. The tech company has also launched its very own AR measuring app known as Quick Measure. This app is quite similar to the two Measure tools offered by Google and Apple. In addition to that, users can also use the DepthVision Camera as well as the S-Pen to indulge in some AR drawing of their own. Now, you can doodle to your heart’s desire with the amalgamation of these two features and create illustrations to track physical objects and space.
