HTC Vive Studios released its first-ever feature-length VR film called 7 Miracles. This film is based on the Gospel of John and can be described as an immersive virtual reality adaptation of the seven miracles performed by Jesus Christ.

This film is the perfect amalgamation of award-winning storytelling that also won awards at the Raindance Film Festival in 2018 and the latest VR technology. The film has been created using state-of-the-art VR technology, volumetric video capture, and photogrammetry, producing images in 8K resolution.

The General Manager and Vice President of Vive Studios, Chris Chin, shared, “This celebrated story has been retold over and over, yet through VR, we’ve developed an experience that allows the audience to connect with this epic in a brand-new way. HTC VIVE has engaged the newest methods in VR filmmaking and editing for 7 Miracles, pioneering the next generation of cinematic content.”

The movie is 70 minutes long and was filmed in Rome. Rodrigo Cerqueira has directed the movie with co-director Marco Spagnoli spreading his Walt Disney magic on the screen.

It is an episodic feature film with 7 parts and inspired by this first-ever cinematic experience released by Vive Studios; there might be similar movies in the pipeline focusing on distinct historical figures.

This 360-degree experience has been designed to connect with the audience and allow them not just to view the events of the film but feel them as deeply as they were experiencing it themselves.

The movie also enables the viewers to see themselves in those ancient surroundings and as being a part of the film itself. It also gives them a feeling of being able to interact with all the characters in the story.

‘7 Miracles’ is available in English globally and is accessible on Viveport and Google Play. The movie is extremely entertaining and has been told in a fascinating manner with cutting-edge technology.

It has also opened doors for a lot of new opportunities and ideas such as seeing other award-winning and compelling movies with the immersive VR technology in 360 degrees.
