Hitting the silver screen again with a mind-blowing sci-fi, Keanu Reeves latest movie is all set to showcase a fresh side of Virtual Reality.

Reeves’ previous sci-fi, The Matrix trilogy, presented the world with a movie that was way ahead of its time with Kenau portraying the character of a computer programmer who was forced to fight a battle against the powerful computers. The trailer of this new sci-fi flick also looks promising with a lot of futuristic stuff for the audience to explore. The sci-fi which is titled ‘Replicas‘ features Reeves as a neurologist taking the aid of Augmented and Virtual reality to defy every law of nature to bring back his loved ones from death.

The science flick elaborates on how Reaves as Dr. William has discovered a way to transfer the memories and consciousness into a robotic humanoid and later clone that into real flesh and bone.

Capturing a good science fiction into a movie is one of the toughest tasks to shoot and yet this movie had tried to present the audience with an enticing breakthrough of the scientific world that might be a reality in the coming few decades. The movie goes deep with the idea of application of Augmented Reality into real life and has also used various AR  interfaces and other devices to make it look realistic.

Although the movie is a fantastic effort by the Director to bring something unique to the audience, the trailer still lacks clarity. You may notice many unexplained phenomena that might leave you baffled. In the trailer, it is shown that Kenau piercing a human mind and editing its memories which in reality seems quite impossible. Also, cloning of a human body seems aeons away in real life.

But if you can dodge all these scientific magical leaps shown in the movie, this sci-fi could be actually an entertaining and fun show, watching the neurologist Dr. William use the AR headset to bring back his family home again.

And who knows, this science fiction might give an idea to the real world scientists to explore this arena of research and maybe we can experience the same in the near future.
